Based on the Foundation Stage of the British National Curriculum, the Rainbow Kindergarten provides a friendly and stimulating environment, in which children are encouraged to develop the skills and knowledge appropriate to their age, in preparation for the Infant Section of the school.

The Six Areas of Learning for the Foundation Stage are:-

  • personal, social and emotional development;
  • communication, language and literacy;
  • mathematical development;
  • knowledge and understanding of the world;
  • physical development and creative development.

From this you will see that we are keen to encourage development in all areas of a child's learning experience, as self confidence and social skills can be just as important, at this stage, as number and word skills.

Parents are always welcome to visit the school, view the facilities and meet the teachers. We also encourage parents who are thinking about choosing Rainbow International School to let their children join a class for a day to experience the school for themselves. This can easily be arranged by contacting the school, by phone, e-mail or personal visit.
