Don’t miss the PSA International Food Fair

Thank you to everyone who attended the PSA’s Car Boot sale in whatever capacity you came.  There was plenty of buying as well as selling and everyone seemed happy with the morning in spite of the heat.  After various overheads being taken out we raised 535,000/= from the morning’s effort.  Thank to the Student Board for gallantly washing cars.  I think they had the coolest job!  We now urge all parents to get involved with the children to bring about a successful International Food Fair.  A letter went out on Friday to all secondary students informing all parents of what we are trying to do.  Basically we are asking you to donate a national dish for a national stand that you can organise for the Fair.  If you and your children can get together with your fellow nationals and organise a food stall for your nation, dress it up and yourselves for the occasion and sell the food you have made, then we could be in for a very good feast as well as raising a considerable amount money.  Please consider the various ways you can join in the effort listed in the letter and tell us on the Response Form what you can do and return that slip to either Lydia or Myf at Reception.  Register your country’s food stall with Myf so that we can provide you with a table and plastic plates etc.  In primary school please inform your class’ CPR of what you can donate and what nation’s stall you wish to provide for.
There will be prizes for the best stall and dress and the most popular food stall etc.  We are also looking for someone to do Henna on the day and face painting for the children.  Any offers?  You can organise a rota.
So:  Come along and join in the fun with lots to eat and drink and Big Screen World Cup football with competitions and quizzes, children’s play area and the swimming pool, of course.  Let’s make this the best event of the year.  A. Thomas PSA Chairperson
